In my reading of the New Testament I am attempting to identify the theme of each book. Here is the theme I identified for the book of Matthew:

The Book of Matthew's Theme:

Jesus is the authoritative Son of God holding power and authority over all things (Satan, sickness, demons, sin, religion, nature, and death) who is to be followed and obeyed.
